The more I work with schools the more I understand the myriad of demands on educators and how much they give of themselves to their role. I'm passionate about supporting the sector by empowering those within it to recognise their strengths and the value of their uniqueness.
Good leadership is pivotal to a successful school. Whether you are the head, a senior leader, manager, teacher, or other professional, your school needs you to be at your best. I believe your best is your authentic self. When a school is run by this type of leadership, staff feel equipped and empowered to go the distance and the benefits ripple out through wider society.
Coaching is founded on the principle that we each hold the answers within ourselves. So as your coach I'll place you in the driving seat of a confidential and non-judgmental space to seek out the expert within. I'll listen and provide a balance of challenge and support to help you unpack your thinking and lean into and learn from your emotional experiences. My approach facilitates a creative, productive and often fun space where you can reflect, explore, and focus to make the progress you want.

There is no preparation other than a desire to grow and a willingness to be open. My approach is to coach the whole self which enables you to weave together insight from your values, beliefs, emotions and goals to achieve your personal and professional ambitions.
Without understanding your values, it is difficult to set goals or work out a plan. Values give your goals meaning and ground you, which is especially important when you are under pressure. They also shape your sense of purpose, and when this is crystal clear, your leadership will flow from a great place, taking the whole school with you.
We can lack the belief that we can achieve our ambitions. Self doubt eats away at self belief and we become powerless to a fear of failure and what others may think. Once we stop seeking approval and take action, we begin to build a portfolio of evidence that reframes challenges and setbacks as part of the journey to success.
. We are in an emotional state all the time and because of this we can become passive to our emotional experiences and miss out on valuable insight. Understanding our emotions and the beliefs we have about them helps us to connect with ourselves and unlock new learning in support of our ambitions.
Some goals spring to mind instantly, others develop gradually. Some are achieved quickly, and some play hard to get. Whatever your relationship with goal setting, I'll support you to feel comfortable, excited, and motivated by clear outcomes that will get you to where you want to be.
Early on in my career coaching unlocked my potential as a manager. Ever since it has been central to my career, underpinning my development into leadership and my leadership approach.
Before making the move to coach full time in 2021 I was Director of a Professional Association within Higher Education, where I led and developed a team and extensive volunteer community to deliver our charitable objectives and enterprise ambitions.
Today I am on a mission to support education professionals to thrive in their personal and professional lives. When I am not working with schools I am coaching elsewhere, including for Investors In People or Queen Bee Coaching, a Pankhurst Trust Service for women within Manchester. If I’m not there, I’ll be undertaking my School Governor responsibilities or walking in the hills.
